True camping atmosphere

At Egtved Camping, we see children as one of our greatest values. For us, camping is about community, presence and good experiences, and children playing, laughing and exploring the world contribute greatly to the vibrant and genuine camping atmosphere. That’s why we work hard to create an environment where children can be children and where families can be together in a way that feels natural, safe and full of joy.

Thinking about children’s well-being and opportunities for play.

We have two playgrounds that will be continuously upgraded, but our youngest guests often seek out our lovely wooded areas for climbing, building caves and hiding.

The playgrounds are located so that parents can easily keep an eye out, while giving children the freedom to play. It provides a good balance where everyone feels safe.

Petanque court

Our newly constructed petanque court has become a hit with both children and adults on site, and the game often creates fun and spontaneous communities across generations. These are the games where dad, mom, grandparents and kids can all join in, and this is typically where you hear laughter and light competitive spirit mingle in the fresh air.

Chill times

One of the things that really makes Egtved Camping unique is our approach to idle time. Chill time is time without plans, without deadlines and without the expectation of constant activity. It allows children to be curious, creative and present in the moment, and many families find that it brings a special calm to their vacation.

Indoors

Indoors, we have a cozy common room where families can gather for games, drawing or quiet moments when the Danish summer calls for something under cover. There are various board games, books and Lego bricks. It’s a popular place, especially in the evening or on rainy days when children still want to play and be together.
