Planning a weekend at Egtved Camping in Pentecost is an obvious choice. We start with the first concert of the year on Pentecost Saturday. We’ve invited a musician to kick off Pentecost with great music and accompanying food and drink.
Pentecost Sunday
The day after, Pentecost Sunday, the large and cozy Pentecost market is held at Egtved Camping. The entire campsite is transformed into a vibrant, colorful and festive area filled with people, stalls, fragrant food and happy children. The market takes place from 10am to 3pm and has become a firm tradition that campers, locals and visitors from outside look forward to. What makes our Pentecost Market so special is that it’s not held in one specific area, but instead spreads out among the campers on the campsite itself, creating a unique and intimate atmosphere where you can explore small corners, paths and squares.
The stalls
The stalls offer a little bit of everything, and there’s room for all kinds of goods. You’ll find everything from handmade items, creative crafts and home decorations to second-hand toys, clothes, knick-knacks, flea market finds and surprises of the more unexpected kind. Part of the charm is that you never know what you’ll find around the next corner. Parking space
Parking is easy and completely free at Walters Plads, which is located just outside the camping area. Visitors from outside can park their cars here and walk directly into the market without any hassle.
The children
There’s plenty to look forward to for the kids too. Throughout the day, various activities will be organized to bring smiles to the faces of young and old alike. Popular activities such as face painting, pony rides and digging for sweets are just some of the things you might come across, and there may also be other fun surprises depending on what the Whitsun program has to offer. This creates a relaxed and playful atmosphere where children can play while adults explore the stalls or enjoy a refreshment.
Food and drink
Food and drink is a natural part of a good market, and there’s plenty to choose from. The smell of grilled sausages, freshly made pancakes and classic old-fashioned ice cream will soon fill the air, and cold drinks and other treats are available for purchase at the concert area throughout the day.
