Welcome to Egtved Camping.

We’re Stine and Thomas, a married couple in our prime who in late 2022 stepped off the hamster wheel, sold our house and quit our jobs to live life as campsite owners with everything that entails.
It’s fair to say that we had a different life than we were used to, and everything was very new – and very exciting. We enjoy most of the challenges we face daily, and the learning curve is steep. We have three grown children, Christian, Arthur and Mathilde, and a dog Charlie. We live on site, which can make it a little difficult to distinguish between work and leisure. That’s why we cherish the little time we have in our little home next to the reception.

Egtved Camping is a Back-to-Nature campsite with high ceilings, plenty of elbow room and optimal opportunities to both retreat to be left alone or socialize with others in our cozy common areas.

We are a real family campsite that creates the framework for both coziness, presence and community in the family and with other guests.

We have created an outdoor kitchen with a covered terrace where you have plenty of opportunity to get in touch with other campers. this year, the toilet and shower rooms have been given a more modern look.

We also create the opportunity to socialize with others at our newly acquired fire pit, which has been donated to us by the Isabella Foundation in the spring of 2024. We look forward to many cozy hours by the fire with (burnt) bread, smoke in the eyes, happy people and maybe a little song.

Egtved Camping is centrally located to some of Denmark’s major tourist attractions, sights, and beautiful cities with great shopping opportunities.

In addition, we are part of Vejle Ådal, which has endless hiking and biking trails.

We have a lake, which is an old peat pit, where you can go fishing – and if you catch a fish, you give it a kiss and set it free again.

We have a rich bird life here, and the cranes in particular are a big draw here. There are also owls, nightingales, swallows and of course lots of other birds.

All guests are equally important here, whether you’re a regular or a day tripper. It’s a resort – everyone should have a good time!
